Carbon-neutral production facilities

By 2025, all our production facilities across the globe will be certified carbon-neutral.

Sustainability comes in many forms.

When it comes to our lineup, sustainability is not just switching from traditional to alternative power sources, feature by feature we are making changes that will help make Audi ownership more sustainable.

Electrify Canada.

Electrify Canada’s mission is to create a convenient and reliable DC fast charging network in metropolitan areas, as well as along busy highways. Currently they are in the process of building 32 stations, connecting major metro areas and highways with 128 DC charging connectors capable of 150 to 350 kW. When charging at 150 kW, the Audi e-tron quattro can fully charge its battery from 0 to 80% in as little as 30 minutes.1

Audi Environmental Foundation.

Our sustainability mission extends beyond our vehicles. This Foundation promotes engagement with and technologies for environmental protection with the objective of protecting and maintaining the natural resources required by humans, animals, and plants. The projects sponsored by the Audi Environmental Foundation focus on innovative, environmentally compatible technologies and measures for environmental education.

The transition to electric mobility offers many benefits for our drivers and planet. But, we’re not stopping there. Our plan is to introduce new innovative technology that allows us to truly transition to sustainable driving.

Developing a clean battery.

In order to truly transition our planet towards sustainable mobility we need to solve the great green dilemma: how can we make batteries that are genuinely clean.

Bi-directional charging technology.

The idea is as simple as it is genius: the high-voltage battery of the electric car not only is charged via the wall box at home but can also supply energy back to the house as a decentralized storage medium. This would increase network stability, lower electricity costs, and contribute to climate protection.

Envisioning 2050.

It is our goal to not only achieve carbon neutrality in our production facilities, but to extend this ambition across our entire supply chain and vehicle lineup as well. Our objective is to reach a completely carbon-neutral balance by 2050. This is a global effort that will push our entire organization to commit to a responsible use of resources, progressive vehicle design, and eliminate or offset CO₂ emissions in production and delivery.
