Audi Humboldt Broncos Fund Drive

On April 6, 2018, a coach bus carrying members of the Humboldt Broncos ice hockey team collided with a semi-trailer truck near Armley, Saskatchewan, ultimately killing 16 and injuring 13. The team, along with coaches and associates, were on their way to a playoff game in Nipawin, SK.

The accident was the worst sports team bus collision in North America and has galvanized people across the country to provide assistance to the victims and their families. As of this writing, five Humboldt Broncos remain hospitalized, but none are in critical condition.

Although nearly 3,000 kilometers from Toronto, the Saskatchewan hockey team has been on the hearts and minds of Ontarians since. Prayers, offers of support and a national conversation toward improving highway safety has kept the situation front and center for many -- just as it should be.

Like other businesses, Audi Midtown Toronto is offering tangible support that will directly benefit the Humboldt Broncos family. Specifically, dealer staff will take advantage of the NHL and NBA playoffs to cheer on our teams with Game-Day Jersey Days at Midtown. In addition, they'll be incorporating Friday Jeans Days every Friday until the playoffs are over.

To participate, the dealership has established the following rules:

  Game Days:
•    Wear your Team Jersey on Game Days
•    A playoff schedule will be sent out each round and posted around staff areas of the dealership
•    Cost to participate: $2.50 per game-day   Fridays:
•    Wear your jeans every Friday for the entirety of both the NHL and NBA playoffs
•    A playoff schedule will be sent out each round and posted around staff areas of the dealership
•    Cost: With Jersey; $2.50; Without Jersey: $5.00   Donation and Distribution

All donations will be collected each game-day and are due by the end of the day. Collected funds will be forwarded to the Go-Fund-Me page in support of the Humboldt Broncos. Together, we can make a difference and show the world that "We Are Humboldt Strong!"
