Results are in for the 2013 J.D. Power Consumer Retails Experience Survey (CRES). The CRES provides automotive manufacturers with an objective measure of the overall satisfaction levels with sales among new-vehicle buyers in Canada. This year, we are happy to report that Audi Canada captured the 1st place ranking in the country for the Overall Satisfaction Index.

Top rankings from J.D. Power for Audi
NGOLSTADT, Aug. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - Audi has achieved its best-ever rankings in the latest J.D. Power APEAL survey. At second place in customer satisfaction among all brands, the company based in Ingolstadt, Germany outshone its direct competitors. The Audi A4 allroad quattro and Audi Q5 models earned a 1-2 victory in their class.
The 2013 edition of the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) customer satisfaction survey marks the 18th time it has been conducted by renowned U.S. market-research agency J.D. Power. More specifically, J.D. Power surveyed 83,000 American car buyers about the first 90 days with their 2013 model-year vehicles.
With 857 out of a possible 1,000 points, Audi scored 62 points higher than the industry average and advanced two places to second place overall among 33 manufacturers. In addition to the 1-2 victory among compact premium SUVs, many other Audi vehicles likewise triumphed. The A4/A5, A6, A8 and Q7 each captured second place in their respective categories.
In 2012, the Audi Group delivered 1,455,123 cars of the Audi brand to its customers, generated revenue of ?48.8 billion and achieved an operating profit of ?5.4 billion. The Audi Group is globally present in more than 100 markets and produces vehicles in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm (Germany), GyÅ'r (Hungary), Brussels (Belgium), Bratislava (Slovakia), Martorell (Spain), Kaluga (Russia), Aurangabad (India), Changchun (China) and Jakarta (Indonesia). Audi launches 2014 TDI models with hilarious spot
Audi has unveiled a set of new television spots that seek to continue the company's proselytizing of diesel-fueled luxury cars to the American pubic. With TDI versions of the A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 available for its 2014 model year range, this is a subject that's obviously near and dear to the hearts of Audi marketers.
The first commercial, The Station, makes a play on the fact that many car buyers in the US don't associate luxury cars (in this case an A8) with those green-handled pumps at the "gas" station. The second commercial, Range, is a lot more informative (albeit less fraught with screaming and slowmo), discussing just how easy it should be to find a diesel fueling station in your long-range TDI before you need to fill up.

A :60 television spot "The Station", and two new :15 spots, "Future" and "Range," debut today on television and online, show drivers the benefits of clean diesel technology including increased performance and range, and cleaner emissions. For the 2014 model year Audi is expanding its lineup with the all-new A6, A7 and Q5 TDI, along with the newly-introduced A8 L TDI and highly successful Q7 TDI.
"Since the introduction of TDI in 2009, Audi has been at the forefront of clean diesel with an increased commitment to providing drivers with more options," said Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing for Audi of America. "As a demand for clean diesel is on the rise in the U.S., drivers do not have to compromise performance or design in order to achieve higher fuel consumption and increased range with our new 2014 TDI models."
In "The Station", a woman at a fueling station reaches for the diesel pump to fill up her Audi A6. In a dramatic fashion, unsuspecting onlookers race towards her and they can't imagine the luxury vehicle is in fact a diesel. The spot ends with the tagline "It's time to rethink diesel ? join the club." "The Station" will appear on primetime network and cable fall programming including Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Hostages, Sons of Anarchy and NBC NFL Sunday Night Football.
"Range" demonstrates the potential to drive from New York to Chicago on a single tank of gas, covering a range of approximately 790 miles. In "Future" viewers see the potential for clean diesel as today's leading alternative fuel solution and an intelligent choice for those on the leading-edge. Audi TDI provides drivers with 30% better fuel economy and range without compromises on performance and design.
In addition to the three new television spots, Audi will dispel the most common myths of diesel ? gas station availability, the smell and perception associated with an older generation of diesel vehicles, weak performance ? in a series of four online video shorts that will roll out over the next two months on the Audi YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/audiusa.
The spots also will appear on The Washington Post and Slate.com in a custom user-generated content hub through October 31st. In addition to standard and high-impact ads, the content hub features custom videos, articles and infographics, along with relevant social conversations.
The Audi TDI clean diesel campaign also features print ads that reinforce the message "the future of fuel is here now." Print ads will roll out in select automotive buff books this fall.

Ingolstadt, February 26, 2014 - The American crash test program US NCAP has awarded the current Audi A6 (combined consumption in l/100 km: 9.8-4.4 [24.00-53.46 US mpg]I; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 229-114 [368.54-183.47 g/mile] the maximum rating of five stars for crash safety. The results for adult protection in frontal and side impact collisions, as well as in a rollover situation, make the current Audi A6 one of the safest cars in its category.
Adding to its top score in the Euro NCAP in 2011, the U.S. National Highway Transport Safety Administration (NHTSA) has now given the current Audi A6 the maximum rating of five stars for passive crash safety.
The results for adult protection in frontal and side impact collisions, as well as in a rollover situation, put the current Audi A6 among the safest cars in its category. In 2010 the agency made the requirements for the front and side impact collision tests even tougher in order to reflect actual accident scenarios even more accurately.
The scores that the testers awarded the Audi A6 for driver and front passenger protection in frontal and side impact collisions easily earned the car the top rating of five stars. Rear occupants of the Audi A6 are also well protected, as the 5-star result for rear passengers in side impact collisions shows.
Audi also places maximum value on integral safety, going above and beyond the measures assessed by the institution. A core element of that strategy is the automatic distance control system adaptive cruise control (ACC) with stop & go function, which can automatically bring the car to a complete standstill. After a brief stop, at a traffic signal for instance, the car automatically accelerates again and maintains the chosen distance from the vehicle in front. Other assistance systems include Audi active lane assist and the lane change assistant Audi side assist.
The Audi pre sense system is a milestone in active safety: In situations where a collision is probable, "Audi pre sense plus" can initiate a partial application of the brakes. If the collision is unavoidable, a full braking application may follow partial breaking. This reduces the severity of the impact. Targeted braking assists drivers in situations where they do not apply sufficient braking force despite having received visual and acoustic warnings. The NHTSA has rated the Audi pre sense system as highly recommended.

2014 Audi R8 e-tron adds to Iron Man 3 hype
The Iron Man 3 movie is about to open around the world and Audi is hoping to create a buzz around their 2014 Audi R8 e-tron with new commercials featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark driving the new sports car. Will they succeed?
The new Iron Man 3 movie begins opening around the world, to climax with its nationwide U.S. premier on May 3. Last week in Hollywood, fans lined up to see the stars of the show, Robert Downey Jr. who plays Tony Stark and Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow, who revives her role of Pepper Potts. This week, Audi is "happy to add to the hype" by running a new commercial featuring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Iron Man's alter-ego industrialist, driving the Audi R8 e-tron sports car.
The new all-electric R8 e-tron is a starring piece of hardware for the third straight installment of the Iron Man film franchise and the German automaker is hoping to create a buzz with the new commercial. Audi has been running the new commercial on U.S. late-night and cable-TV channels showing Stark driving his all-electric Audi R8 e-tron. The car is featured in the film and Audi wants Starks main ride to be as much of a star as Robert Downey Jr. Will Audi be successful in creating excitement for their new all-electric sports car?
Superhero's have stress too on their commute
The company made a limited initial production run of the sports car last year that is featured in Marvel's Iron Man 3 and the new commercial. The Audi ad takes scenes from the movie and uses them to show that superhero's have stress too on their commute to work. The ad states, "It's never a bad day at work when the commute looks like this," as Stark gets into the R8 e-tron. The 30-second spot concludes with Stark streaking down the highway in the red all-electric R8, and the tag line, "Audi. Engineered for Iron Man."
Along with the U.S. premiere of one of summer's most anticipated films, the Audi R8 e-tron also joined the stars of Iron Man 3 at a VIP screening of the film in London last week. Audi shipped the sports car direct from Germany to be displayed on a plinth alongside the red carpet. The car was joined by stars of the movie, including Downey, Rebecca Hall, Ben Kingsley and Don Cheadle. A fleet of chauffeured Audi A8s carried the stars to the top of the red carpet.
Audi plays a prominent role in Iron Man 3
Audi has played a prominent role in the first two Iron Man movies with main character Tony Stark's vehicle of choice being the Audi R8 Coupe in Iron Man 1 and the R8 Spyder in Iron Man 2. And Audi is making sure they get lots of exposure for many of their cars in the new Iron Man 3 film. The new movie will also feature the Audi S7 Sportback, that is driven by Gwyneth Paltrow's character, Starks' girlfriend, Pepper Potts, who is CEO of Stark Industries. Other models with cameos in the movie are the Audi A8 L, Audi A6, Audi S5 Coupe and Audi Q5.
Reviews have been positive
After its Hollywood premiere last week, reviews of Iron Man 3 are beginning to trickle out and most have rated the film strongly, especially considering that it's the second sequel to a tremendously popular original. The movie "will be the this summer's first massive hit," declared. The Hollywood Reporter, which called it a "spirited" film. Variety said, "Despite the inevitable franchise fatigue, this solid production still delivers more than enough of what fans expect."
Audi will undoubtedly create plenty of buzz for the new Iron Man 3 movie with the new commercial. But will they succeed in promoting their new all-electric R8 e-tron sports car? Tony Stark, played by actor Robert Downey Jr., will be behind the wheel of the sports car prototype R8 as Iron Man 3 debuts in movie theaters across the country on May 3rd, 2013.
